He is a climber who loves all disciplines within the sport. In recent years, he has lived in the desert to the detriment of his ice climbing. His desire to write comes from a love of thought experiments.
His current project engages with philosophical topics close to the bone—determinism, freedom, consciousness, ethics, and meaning—as the story's characters tackle the questions surrounding those issues in their own lives, find their answers, and try to live with the consequences.
